Attendance Rules

The "Attendance Rule" refers to the guidelines students must follow regarding their presence in class. It includes rules about when students should attend, how to report absences, and any consequences for missing school without a valid reason.

Daily Attendance Requirements
Students need to attend school regularly and have at least 75% attendance each term to be allowed to take exams and move to the next grade. Attendance is recorded at the start of each school day and every subject class. If a student is absent without permission, they will be marked absent for the whole day.
Punctuality
Students must be at school before the morning assembly starts. If they are late, they can only enter with a valid reason or permission from the school. If a student is late more than three times in a month, they will get a warning, and their parents may need to meet with the school to discuss the issue.

Absence Policy
For planned absences like family events or doctor visits, parents must inform the school in writing at least two days ahead. In case of emergencies like illness, parents should notify the school by phone or email within 24 hours. If a student is absent for more than three days due to illness, they must provide a doctor's note when returning.

Leave During School Hours
Students can't leave school during school hours without permission from the principal or class teacher. A parent or guardian must sign the leave register before taking the student out. In emergencies, parents can inform the school by phone or email, but they still need to provide a written confirmation later.

Disciplinary Actions for Poor Attendance
Students who don't meet the attendance requirements without a valid reason may face consequences like being unable to join extracurricular activities, missing out on awards and certificates, or in severe cases, being suspended or having to repeat the school year.

Attendance and Examinations
Students need at least 75% attendance in each subject to be allowed to take midterm or final exams. If a student misses school for valid reasons like a medical emergency, it may be considered if they provide proper documents. Missing an exam will only be excused for genuine reasons, and the school must be informed right away.
